Great News !! Two Legends of Volleyball getting Honored
Its a great News for all the Volleyball player and Fans of Volleyball that Volleyball
Federation of India honoring the two heroes of Indian Volleyball on this Saturday
3.1.2015 on the occasion of the 63rd National Volleyball Championship at
Chennai. Many thanks to VFI and hope this will help to revive the game
of Volleyball in India.The two legends are Late Mr. Jimmy George and Late Mr.Abdul Basith.
Jimmy George :
Jimmy
George is often considered one of the greatest volleyball players of
all time and was a member of Indian men's national volleyball team. He
was the first Indian volleyball player to become a professional and
played club volleyball in Italy.He was considered one of the best attackers of the world.Jimmy died in a car accident in Italy on November 30, 1987, at the age of 32.The government of Kerala dedicated its indoor stadium at Trivandrum as the Jimmy George Indoor Stadium. Wikipedia

Abdul Basith :
Abdul
Basith was born in Hyderabad, A.P. and was captain of the Indian men's
national volleyball team team and came from the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Kapil Dev K.J is one of the best Indian volleyball player who was honored by Arjuna award in 2010,One of the most prestigious sports award in India. Arjuna awards were instituted in 1961 by the Government of India to recognize outstanding performance in International sports. Kapil Dev is currently working as Office Superintendent.He was graduated from Magadh University in BA (Economics) (2009). Basically from Trivandrum, Capital of Kerala,India.a

He is a Indian volley player. Vibin M George has been the mainstay of the BPCL team as well as the INDIAN TEAM with his attacking smashes.A very aggressive team player. Vibin has been representing the country and also play for volleyball club's in Gulf Countries. He got a golden chance to win national federation cup 2013. He was leading the team against Tamil nadu in final match.
